Matchweek 35 of the Premier League: follow it on Flashscore

It’s matchweek 35 of the Premier League season, and we finally have a title race on our hands. Football betting analyst Frank Monkhouse offers six statistical-inspired predictions.
The 2025/26 Premier League season is now set for a thrilling finale. Arsenal, who led the standings for many weeks, have seen their dominance slip, allowing Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City stars to re-enter the title race. Will the Gunners hold on to top spot, or will City strike again and claim the trophy?
Matchweek 35 kicks off on the first day of May at Elland Road, where Leeds United host Burnley. Saturday features four EPL matches, three of which kick off at 16:00. Arsenal face Fulham in a London derby at 18:30, while Sunday brings three more fixtures, including a mouth-watering clash between Manchester United and Liverpool.
Leeds vs. Burnley, Friday, 21:00 CET

Leeds began the week only six points above Tottenham and the relegation zone. The hosts are uncomfortably close to the bottom three, but Daniel Farke’s side are ready to fight for their place. Leeds are unbeaten in five, with three draws and two wins. They ended April with victories over Manchester United and Wolves before a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth last time out.
Burnley sit second from bottom, heading back to the Championship. Scott Parker’s side have endured a tough season, failing to win 30 of 34 matches. They also boast the worst defensive record in the Premier League, conceding an average of two goals per game. Burnley have lost their last four matches.
The Lancashire club beat their upcoming opponent 2-0 at Turf Moor late last year, and we expect Leeds to return the favor. Leeds played three league matches last month, scoring seven goals. They now face a defense that has leaked 10 goals in the same period. Back Leeds to delight their fans with a home win and three valuable points at Elland Road.
Wolves vs. Sunderland, Saturday, 16:00 CET

Bottom-of-the-table Wolverhampton Wanderers host mid-table Sunderland. Wolves enjoy home advantage but have little to play for as time runs out on their top-flight status. The hosts are last, winless in four, and have lost their last three.
The Black Cats sit eight places above their hosts, but recent form is not much better. Regis Le Bris has seen his team lose three of five.
