Marcelinho Huertas will have to wait until next year for another shot at Final Four glory. The Brazilian point guard has been left out of the CB Canarias roster for the third-place game against Unicaja, set for Saturday at 4:00 PM. Huertas was seen limping after Thursday’s match and spent Saturday morning training in the locker room. The two major additions to the lineup are Wes Van Beck and Thomas Scrubb, with Scrubb stepping in due to an injury to Rokas Giedraitis.
On the Unicaja side, Emir Sulejmanovic, Augustine Rubit, Nihad Djedovic, and Chris Duarte will not play. Additionally, a disciplinary investigation has been opened against Chris Duarte, who was notified today. The Dominican player now has 10 business days to present his defense, during which he has been provisionally suspended from duty.
