Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was brought to tears while attending an ice show starring his wife, Russian figure skater Tatiana Navka. The performance, titled “Diary of Memory,” was dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the Soviet victory in World War II.
“The emotions from the show are incredible. This is exactly how the memory of the war should be passed on to younger generations. Not everyone perceives it the same way as previous generations, but it’s essential to convey this legacy. If we don’t do it, others will, and they will do it in the wrong way because they have a different memory. From my perspective, it was magnificent. I sat there and cried for an hour,” Peskov was quoted as saying by TASS.
