Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Sara celebrated another Süper Lig title with Galatasaray after the team clinched the 2025–26 championship on Saturday, securing their fourth consecutive league crown—a feat the Turkish club hasn’t achieved since 1997–2000.
Sara, who watched the decisive 4–2 comeback win over Antalyaspor from the stands due to an ankle injury, described the achievement as deeply meaningful. “This is undoubtedly the most special season of my career, and the title is a key part of it,” he said.
The 25-year-old has now won three trophies with Galatasaray, adding this league title to the domestic double (league and Turkish Cup) from the previous campaign.
Signed from Norwich City in August 2024 for a Turkish football record fee of €23 million, Sara has become a key figure for Galatasaray. He previously emerged from São Paulo’s youth academy. In 86 appearances for the Istanbul giants, he has scored 8 goals and provided 14 assists.
His strong form at club level, including standout performances in the Champions League, earned him a first call-up to the Brazilian national team. He made his debut for the Seleção in a recent friendly against France and is now waiting to see if he will be included in the preliminary 55-man squad for the upcoming World Cup.
Additionally, reports suggest that several Premier League clubs are monitoring Sara’s situation ahead of the next transfer window, indicating his continued rise on the European stage.
