Krasnodar head coach Murad Musaev strongly criticized his team’s defensive mistakes in the two goals conceded during the 29th-round match against Moscow’s Dynamo, stating that their chances of winning the league title have diminished.
The meeting of the 29th round of the MIR Russian Premier League in Moscow ended with a 1-2 defeat for Krasnodar. The visitors conceded the second goal in the 90+3rd minute. With one round left in the championship, Krasnodar sits second in the table, two points behind Zenit. Earlier, Krasnodar advanced to the FONBET Russian Cup Superfinal by defeating Dynamo on penalties.
“It’s hard to talk about fairness. We need to analyze the goals we conceded; it’s unacceptable to play like that. The first goal… You simply cannot play that way in a championship-deciding match. We have two games left — there are still slim chances to win the league, and then we have the Cup final,” Musaev said, as reported by a Match TV correspondent.
In the final round of the RPL, Krasnodar will host Orenburg on May 17, while Zenit will face Rostov away. In the Russian Cup Superfinal, the Krasnodar team will play against Spartak on May 24 at Luzhniki Stadium.
