Vegas Golden Knights captain Mark Stone will miss Sunday’s Game 4 of the Western Conference second-round series against the host Anaheim Ducks, head coach John Tortorella announced. Stone suffered a lower-body injury late in the first period of the Knights’ 6-2 victory in Game 3 on Friday. Vegas currently holds a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Forward Brandon Saad will slot into the lineup in Stone’s place. Stone has tallied seven points (three goals, four assists) across nine playoff games this postseason.

Turning 34 on Wednesday, Stone matched his career bests this season with 73 points (28 goals, 45 assists) and a plus-26 rating in 60 regular-season contests. Over 766 NHL games split between the Ottawa Senators (2012–19) and the Golden Knights, the veteran winger has accumulated 707 points (259 goals, 448 assists) and a plus-167 rating.
